What this year has taught me...

For me 2015 has been about change and realisation. This year has brought me many changes. Some I wanted, some I didn't and some I really wasn't expecting.

But in a weird and roundabout way it's all been for the better. If this year and the previous 2 years have taught me anything, it's to expect the unexpected and just go with the flow. 3 years ago I never would have thought my life would be the way it is today, but I wouldn't  change a thing.

I realised this year that it's okay to stand up for yourself and to say no! I am a major people pleaser. I would and probably still do to an extent, go above and beyond and putting my needs on the back burner to please other people. Most of the time I was trying to please the wrong people, and everytine it would get thrown back in my face and hurt me that little bit more each time. I've learnt that you can't please everyone and you shouldn't have to. I've realised what and who is important and I no longer feel the need or want to please those who would not do the same for me.

2015 has brought lots of positive changes too. I went back to work part time and absolutely love my
Job and the people I work with. we celebrated Charlie's second birthday and Elise's 4th. We had a beautiful joint christening for them in the summer and my little girl started school.

Even though 2015 is ending very differently to how it started its been a great year. I feel I'm going in to 2016 a different person with a new outlook on life. Life is too short and life is for living.I'm not sure what 2016 holds for myself and my family but I will be sure to make the best of it.

I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and a happy new year

Thanks for reading.
