My goals for 2016

It's the first day of a brand new year. The time when most people set goals and make changes for the year ahead. The term "New Years resolution" usually has people rolling their eyes and a sarcastic, yeah okay if you say so. But this year I really want to set "goals" not resolutions and more of a "self improvement list".It's probably the same thing but in my head it sounds better (haha). Last year when my anxiety was at its peak I made a list of "goals" that I wanted to achieve. I am extremely proud to say that I have achieved everything single goal!!! "Go me"!!!

I won't bore you with the details, I'm just going to bore you with this years goals. So here they are...

1.drink more water. I used to drink like a fish but now I'm lucky if I have one glass a day.

2. Finally get to a weight I am happy and confident with. I get to a point where I start seeing results so I think I can treat myself. WRONG! I need to keep going till I get to my target.

3. Make more time to blog and vlog. This is something I have loved doing this past year and I want to take my blogging/vlogging journey further.

4. Make time for ME. I've realised this isn't selfish its necessary. You need to look after yourself in order to take care of others.

5. Be more organised. I have put in to place different things to help me stay organised. I will be doing a separate blog and vlog on this.

6. Make time for me and the husband. We don't get enough time together. We have agreed that now Charlie will be starting nursery in the new year that we will try and do a lunch date, even if it's just once a month. I feel it's important to our relationship and when we do get a rare date night he's not actually that bad to be around. (Lol)

7.Fix my back. I've sufferd with a bad back since I was 15 and it has got worse since having my children. Regular exercise I know helps so this is something I need to make more of an effort with.

8. Be better with money. Bills , the house and the children are obviously the priority but with what I call "disposable money" we just seem to pee it away. So I want to have a better saving system put in to place and this co insides with the new and improved organised me. ( see goal number 5)

9. Be a better friend/family member. Without blowing my own trumpet I think I'm pretty good already but this again co insides with goal number 4. I don't feel I get a lot of quality time, one on one with friends, family or my children. I more often than not have the Children with me or it's a quick drop in to a friends house. This year I want to take time to do a lunch, a dinner or a shopping trip. Something that Involves one on one time. I want to have a day once a month to take Elise for a baby cino,go to the park or cinema, something just for the two of us. I feel I get lots of precious time with Charlie but not with Elise now she is at school.

10. And finally... Don't worry and be happy! I'm a big worrier and always think about what could happen so this year I want to be more positive and worry about the bad stuff when and if it happens, and enjoy day.

Thank you for taking the time to read and thank you so much to all my followers on my blog and social media pages. I've met such a lovely bunch of people since starting my blog and it's one of the best things I've ever done.

Do you make New Years resolutions or set goals? If you do I would love to know what they are.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy new year!
