Gooey cookie recipe!

Hello!

I've been a busy bee lately with working and running round after two little ones, with their busy social lives (they have a better one than me) but I found the time to do abit if baking!

Millie's cookie style cookies, aka heaven! It's a quick and simple recipe and it makes lots cookies! You can even freeze the dough and save it to make some at a later date. Here is what you will need...

Electric mixer (not essential but makes it easier)
Weighing scales
Mixing bowl
Baking tray
Grease proof paper
Cooling rack
Wooden spoon
Table spoon

Ingredients

125g for margarine

100g of light brown suger (although I used normal brown suger his one and turned our fine)

125g castor sugar

1 egg (lightly beaten)

225g of self raising flour

200g of chocolate chips (you can change this to white chocolate chips, smarties, anything you like really)

Pre heat the oven to 180C or has mark 4. Start by creaming together the margarine, castor sugar and brown sugar together with the mixer. When this is done add the flour and the lightly beaten egg. Once mixed together add in the chocolate chips and mix together with the wooden spoon. You should have a nice dough texture.

Lay your grease Proof paper, shiny side up, on to your baking tray. Scoop one heaped table spoon of cookie dough and roll into sauage shapes, about a 1cm thick and place on the grease proof paper, leaving approximately 5cm between each cookie dough ball.

(These are a little thicker than usual so I flattened them with the back of the spoon before putting in the over for GIANT cookies))

Place in the oven for 7 1/2 minutes for gooey cookies and about 9 mins or untill golden brown for a crunchier cookie. Place on the cooking rack, but be careful if you are making gooey cookies. Leave them to cool on the baking tray for a little while.

Serve up and enjoy!

Thanks for reading and happy baking!
