I brought a small wicker basket. I got mine from home bargains for just £1.99! If you don't have a home bargains near you, you can get wicker baskets in most DIY stores or places like wilkinson , dunelm, TKMAX and even Argos. I lined the basket with some tissue paper and placed the items on the basket so that they were arranged nicely and on display. I brought a cellophane gift wrap bag from card factory! I'm not 100% sure on the price but I got a large one and it was between £1-£2. They don't have them on the shop floor so ask at the till, but again places like, hobby craft or a florist will sell cellophane wrap.
I placed the basket inside the cellophane bag and tide it up with some ribbon and bow that I brought from wilkinsons. If you don't have a wilkinsons near you supermarkets and card shops will sell them. My husband loved the hamper and commented on how thoughtful and great it looked.
So with Mother's Day this weekend why not create your own hamper for your mum. It can be filled with anything.. Think about what she likes and go from there. A few ideas ...
~ bubble baths, soaps, bath bombs and scented candles
~ bath salts, body scrubs, body butters and face masks
~ pyjamas and slippers, book and bottle of wine
~ coffe or tea hamper with some of her favourite chocolates or biscuits
~ perfume, bath products, scented candles , favourite film on DVD
~ wine and cheese
Those are just a few ideas of the types of hampers you could create for your mum. You could mix and match some of my examples or even add your own ideas in if there is something you know your mum would love. It's a a great thoughtful gift and easy on the bak account as well!
I hope you all have a lovely Mother's Day this Sunday !
