Our day out at LEGOLAND WINDSOR

Last Summer we went to LEGOLAND Windsor with the kids and it was such a fantastic day out! I blogged about it soon after but for some reason I never got round to posting it! So with the Easter holidays just around the corner, I thought now would be a great time to share this post if you are looking for some fun days out with the kids!

With it being the summer holidays and Elise's 6th birthday! We decided to surprise the kids with a day out at LEGOLAND Windsor. I went as a child when they first opened the park ( how old do I feel) and I remember having the best day. So it was really lovely to be able to take my children and experience the day through them and see how much the park has changed.

We were nice and organised and booked our tickets and use some of our clubcard vouchers to save the pennies. If you have a Tesco clubcard I really recommend checking out the days out that are available using your vouchers. Once we entered the park we headed straight to the pirate area of the park and rich and Elise went on the big pirate boat that made me catch my breathe every time it went up in the air knowing my little girl was on it. She loved every second of it and had it not been for the long queue she would of happily gone on again.

Next we took the kids to earn their driving license. Something I did too on my visit to LEGOLAND and they were thrilled to bits with their photo cards and wore them with pride around the park. The kids enjoyed going various rides and due to the fact I am currently 15 weeks pregnant, sadly I couldn't go on any of the rides, but I was more than happy to stand on the side lines and take photos and see the joy on their faces, after all LEGOLAND was for them... and erm daddy!

We got lunch from the fish and chip restaurant and ate them by the water to watch the Lego Friends show, which I think was the highlight of the day for Elise. She is a huge fan of the show and has some of the lego friends lego sets. To watch her and Charlie dancing and singing along with the lego friends really made the day. Of course we had to stop and have a photo with every lego friend lego model we came across.

After cramming in as many goes on the rides as they could we made a stop at the lego gift shop on our way out and spent a small fortune on lego, souvenirs and sweets... for me! It was a long but fantastic day and I would love to take them again on an overnight break so we could enjoy two full days in the park. There really is so much to see and do and whilst it is absolutely doable in ne day, my pregnant self could of done with an extra day there so we weren't trying to do it all in a short space of time.

I highly recommend LEGOLAND Windsor and we would love to go again in the near future.
